We took an adventure last week up to the Black Canyon, its only about an hour or so away and it had some spectacular views and it was super fun to hike around and take a day trip out of town.

Hiking up Independence Canyon
Jon and I are big fans or early evening hikes as the weather is getting nicer, so get used to seeing lots of hiking pictures on the blog!! We stopped off for a bit so cookie could play/eat the rocks!
New Found Treasure
So the other day I was driving home from an early morning run, when I drove past this sweet pink car in someones garbage, so yes we dumpster dove and got this great treasure for cookie which she loves!

Vikingman Race 2011
Our friends here in Grand Junction host an annual Viking-Man Race which consists of running, biking, and obstacles like eating doughnuts, golfing, launching fake animals.. etc. It was a blast!
