December Festivities

The month of December was crazy and fun filled, a little sick filled also but mostly fun.

This year I made the kids there own felt tree, so that they had one to play with instead of mine :) It worked out pretty good, For Brooklyn at least, Easton still liked getting the ornaments off my tree. I also made an advent calendar this year, which turned out pretty fun, I was glad my kids can't read yet so if I didn't feel like doing the card I was just able to make something up!
So here are some of our December Highlights.
We went downtown to see the parade of lights, all sorts of cars had lights and music, Brooklyn loved it.
We made snowman Pizzas
My mom sent the kids a package and they played forever just in the box, until Easton tipped out and got a fat lip on the hardwood floor.
We went to look at Christmas lights while caroling.

Our friend put together a Polar Express nights, with tickets and all. The kids all had tickets and got a hail bell ride, sang songs, had Hot Cocoa, and saw Santa, it was pretty great.

There has been plenty of snow here so we have been sledding and making snow angels.

We went shopping at Old Navy were Brooklyn made friends with the mannequins it was pretty funny.

Here the kids are in there Sunday Christmas clothes.
We did lots of really cold running,
Lots of baking!! Brooklyn got this new apron and hat from our dear friend.. she is obsessed with it.
Every year we built rice krispy castles and decorate them and see whose wins.. I think ours finished dead last this year, but first in the kids book!

I put together a Christmas pageant this year with music and acting out the nativity, it turned out really awesome.

Here are the kids on Christmas Day

For New Years we did our annual year in review video and dinner and then headed to the Forgettos party for a bit in which we played games and did some dancing.. sadly poor Jon was sick but he tried to be a trooper:)
