Saying Goodbye is the Hardest Part

This past week has been a whirlwind of emotion as Jon and I packed up all of our belongings said our good byes and headed to Sunny California, this time not for just three months. I already miss so many things about Utah, our last few nights went out with a bang we celebrated Jon's B-day, we floated the Provo river, and watched fireworks with friends it was fabulous. I am excited to see where our new adventures take us and will keep you posted.

Team Sister Rocks

Jill and I did the Echo Xango Olympic Relay Triathlon together and we pretty much rocked! About a week before the event Jill sprained her ankle and asked if I could do the running portion of the Tri. and some how I agreed! It was actually a really cool experience to be a team and cheer each other on, I had a blast! So here is a sign that we were meant to be a team we both wore the same tank top just different colors and we completley matched... which was not planned and we had both bought without each other knowing right before the race, we thought that was pretty funny!

Birthday Extravaganza!

Famous People born on July 11th... John Quincy Adams, Giorgio Armani, but most importantly me!

It's true I am now the big 27, don't worry in a few years I will no longer be reporting the age I am. I know 27 is young but it's feeling really close to 30 and I am not a fan. I could not have asked for more this birthday, for the festivities Jon and I took off work and headed to Seven Peaks with friends and family! We brought in a cooler of yummy food and stayed there pretty much the whole day, best ride of all would be going down the boomarang with my sister Jill, she was freaked and it was great! Afterwards we headed to Macaroni Grill where they gave me the best cheesecake I have had in a while! Then after dinner we headed to the drive inn in Salt Lake to see Hancock (which I might add was not the greatest). It was such an amazing day, thank you to everyone who came and joined in the festivities, who called, sent cards or just thought of me! Currently I have left my camera in California, so I had to steal this picture from Dave and Emily!

Happy 4th of July

The 4th of July is my favorite holiday of all time, I love love love fireworks! We headed down to Moab with our friends to camp out, do some trail runs and watch the fireworks. We also found this sweet watering hole that we played in, and the boys found some cliffs to jump off of, it was great specially due to the fact that Moab is so hot. In fact it was so hot that on Friday afternoon we had to sit under shaded tree's found at the church just to cool off. Saturday we headed down to Colorado to stay with my sister and go to Rylan's Baptism, I'm so proud of him. We toured the Monument, swam, played games, had a BBQ, watched movies and best of all went boating! My body is still sore from tubing and wake boarding. With plans to move to California in two weeks I am loving every minute of being with family and playing, I can't get enough.

Red Pine Lake Hike

Two weekends ago we headed up Little Cotten Wood Canyon to hike RedPine. One of Jon's favorite Utah hike is up to Red Pine and then on to the Pfiefferhorn, however we were not able to make it all the way up to the Pfiefferhorn as the area was still completley covered in snow. We figured though that the 8 mile round trip hike to the lake would be good enough, even then about a half mile of the trek was in snow.

The trail was great and the area was so beautiful, I can see why Jon loves it so much. Jon was like a shot deer and ran most of the way, I was totally impressed! Here are a few pics!
